Late 80s Mix

As you enter the threshold of the building, you could already feel the excitement in the air. The atmosphere morphs and you can see glimpses of the strobes peeking through the main entrance, whafts of cigarette smoke slide into your nostrils, and the muffled beat taunts your ears. The prospect of a night of fun plays around in your mind, but you know obstacles have to be hurdled first.

Reality sets in as you have to convince the attractive yet stern receptionist that you are on "the list" or that you have a "V.I.P." card or that at least you knew the friend of the owner. Otherwise, the menacing but mindless bouncer would be more than happy to throw you out.

As you await for the final judgment, the seconds seem to go slower, they seem to almost stop, you are almost prepared to be rejected.

The hottie receptionist looks at the waiting throng of people outside and you know she is somewhat pressured to speed things up but she has to make sure too that only the right people get in.

But tonight...you are lucky. She motions you and your entourage to go right in and suddenly a rush of adrenalin fills your veins. You and your friends head on down the dark corridor as if it were a dramatic veil prior to the grand reveal.

And there it is, like a jewel glimmering in the light, you see the dancefloor and all the lights spiking through the sweaty crowd. You feel the beat of the music pounding against your torso. You and your friends magically merges with the sea of people...now you are no longer just on your own or with your select friends...now you are part of a unified group of people only with one objective...and that is to have some slaamming fun, dancing & drinking the night away!

As my homage to such fave night haunts as Rumours, Zigzag, Kudos, Euphoria, and Faces...here's my Late 80s mix for everyone who experienced the same as I did during those days.
